Mike Catt is under no illusions about the challenge facing England in Dublin on Sunday when hosts Ireland will be chasing a 10th successive victory.

With both sides taking maximum points from their opening two games in this year's Six Nations Championship, the result at the Aviva Stadium is likely to determine who holds the trophy aloft at the end of the season.

And England’s attacking skills coach Catt is well aware of the task ahead for the visitors who beat the Irish at Twickenham last year, although it was Joe Schmidt's team that went on to lift the Six Nations title in 2014.

Catt said: "Conor Murray and Johnny Sexton are the in-form nine and 10 in the world at the moment. They control the game exceptionally well.

"From that point of view their aerial route with Tommy Bowe, Simon Zebo and Rob Kearney is very formidable.

"They have a very good kicking game. We have to match them and try and get the better of them in certain aspects of our game.

"It will be a hugely exciting Test match, two positive sides playing some exciting rugby. It should be a great spectacle.

"Ireland have a really good balance to their game and have some dangerous and smart players.

"We are under no illusions as to what it's all about. We'll just focus on what we can control and those are things like preparing and getting the best out of the players.

"Ireland beat South Africa and Australia in the autumn and are a formidable side. It will be exciting.

"Both teams have two games after this one so you can't say the team that wins this will win the Grand Slam."
