The defending RaboDirect PRO12 champions the Ospreys have been handed a tough start to the new season with a trip to Treviso.

The Ospreys, who beat Leinster in the final, had to come from behind to beat Treviso 32-27 at the Stadio di Monigo last season.

The Ospreys will then follow up their trip to Italy (on weekend of August 31) with a home tie against Heineken Cup finalists Ulster.

Heineken Cup champions Leinster also start the new campaign on the road, with a trip to the Scarlets, before entertaining the Dragons.

New side Zebre, who have replaced Aironi in this season's competition, will travel to Rodney Parade in their first-ever fixture - while Connacht will be the first visitors to the Stadio XXV Aprile in Parma.

There will be another new venue on the fixture list with Scotstoun Stadium in Glasgow. The Warriors, though, will first face Ulster at Ravenhill before welcoming the Scarlets to their new home.
