Experienced back to combine roles as player and skills coach

Experienced utility back Tom Luke has agreed a new contract at Doncaster Knights. The 28-year-old, who has had previous stints at the Cornish Pirates, Bedford Blues and Bristol, will combine playing with the role of skills coach at Castle Park next season. Luke has made 13 appearances for the Knights this season before undergoing surgery on a persistent shoulder injury. And director of rugby Brett Davey told the club's official site: "His record this season has been fantastic. When Tom has played we have been a better side with more consistency. "He brings a wealth of experience and I'm very pleased to keep him as a player and offer him this coaching opportunity which his is eager to take advantage of whilst playing a strong on-field role as a centre/outside-half."
