Centre believes Carnegie can bounce back

Scott Barrow believes Leeds have a bright future after appearing for the club for the final time. The 32-year-old made 82 appearances in four seasons for Carnegie after moving from Glasgow Warriors but he was one of a host of players told they would not be offered a contract for next season. The club have been forced to undergo a drastic change in their playing staff following their failure to bounce back to the Premiership at the first attempt. But Barrow, who starred in the thumping win over the Cornish Pirates, is confident that the Headingley club can thrive. Barrow told the club's official site: "It was nice to come off there towards the end and get a nice reception from the fans, they have been great in their support for the team this year and I would like to thank them.

Memories

"I am sure the club will have a bright future and I will always have special memories of my time here." Mike MacDonald, Lee Blackett, Robbie Shaw, Tom Denton, Sean Hohneck, Lachlan MacKay, Michael Stephenson, Halani Aulika, Ed Williamson, Gareth Denman, Alex Rieder, James Tincknell and Dan White will also be leaving the club. And for Blackett, who scored against the Pirates, it was an emotional occasion. "It has been a tough week for the guys, especially for those who are leaving, but it is great to finish with a win," said Blackett, who scored 24 tries in 112 appearances since joining from Rotherham in 2005. "It was fantastic to score the try but I got a bit emotional when I had to come off and that shows how much this club means to us all."
