Bath head coach Gary Gold was delighted to see his side hold on for a 23-15 victory over Exeter at the Rec.
The only disappointment for Bath, meanwhile, was the sight of prop Davey Wilson and skipper Francois Louw, who are due to join up with the England and South Africa squads respectively after next weekend, forced off with injuries. On Louw's neck problem, Gold added: "He had a bad blow to the head and he seems to have suffered a compression of the vertebrae. We will find out more next week."
