Saracens have confirmed the signing of US Eagles international Phil Thiel on a short-term deal.
The 29-year-old hooker has been brought in a cover for Schalk Brits, who is part of the South Africa squad taking part in the Rugby Championship.
Thiel will team up with fellow Americans Titi Lamositele, Hayden Smith, Chris Wyles and Thretton Palamo at the Aviva Premiership outfit.
Thiel said: "I'm really looking forward to training with the Premiership league winners.
“Following the squad's recent visits to New York and Chicago, and the number of US players on the roster, an ever increasing number of Americans can see there is something special happening at Saracens, and I am delighted to be part of it.”
