Bath head coach Gary Gold hailed England prospect Kyle Eastmond as a "prodigious talent" after he helped his side to a 32-9 bonus-point win over Worcester.

Worcester head coach Richard Hill revealed that his side's preparations had been disrupted by his a gastric bug in the camp which led to fly-half Andy Goode being ruled out minutes before the kick-off. His deputy, Danny Gray, was similarly stricken but put on a brave display and managed to kick three penalties. Hill said: "We're disappointed, because a lot of effort went in, for the 60 minutes certainly. "In the first 40 we took the sting out of Bath really. We had good pressure at the start of the second half, a driving line-out and the scrum. "We had six or seven minutes of real effort there and if we had scored we'd have gone into the lead. "Not only did we not get over but we conceded a penalty - and that was a killer blow and it knocked the stuffing out of everybody."
