Harlequins forward Will Collier has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
Scans have revealed the prop ruptured an anterior cruciate ligament during Saturday's European Rugby Champions Cup game agaisnt Castres.
And a short statement on the Quins website confirmed Collier will not play again this season.
Collier subsequently tweeted: "Thanks for the kind messages. Completely gutted to be missing the remainder of the season! Will be back...fitter and stronger."
The 23-year-old, who narrowly missed out on England's tour of New Zealand in the summer, recently signed an extension to his club contract.
Quins head coach John Kingston said earlier this month he expected Collier "to achieve the highest honours in the English game."
