Dominici picked up the injury in Stade Francais' Heineken Cup win over Sale on Sunday.
The 34-year-old scored two superb first-half tries against the Sharks, but suffered the injury moments before the interval and did not reappear after the break.
He is definitely out of the return match between the two sides at Edgeley Park this Sunday.
The injury is not expected to prevent Dominici's participation in the Six Nations Championship, which begins in February.
