Irish prop Horan injured

Ireland's Marcus Horan is out until January with a torn calf muscle.

Ireland prop Marcus Horan is out until January after sustaining a torn calf muscle.

The 29-year-old suffered the injury after coming on as a replacement during the 21-6 victory over Australia.

Scans on Horan's left calf revealed a tear, ruling him out of Ireland's final autumn international against the Pacific Islands.

Ireland coach Eddie O'Sullivan has named a 22-strong squad ahead of Sunday's match, the final rugby international before Lansdowne Road is redeveloped.

Luke Fitzgerald, Eoin Reddan, Barry Murphy and Jeremy Staunton bolster the back division, while in the forwards, Matt McCullough, Jamie Heaslip, Simon Best, Stephen Ferris, Ronnie McCormack and Keith Gleeson are included.

O'Sullivan is expected to reveal his starting line-up on Wednesday.
