Autumn internationals: Scotland's Mark Bennett ruled out of Tonga game

Mark Bennett has been ruled out of Scotland's final autumn international against Tonga next weekend.

The Glasgow Warriors centre injured a hamstring during Saturday's narrow defeat to world champions New Zealand and has been sent back to his club for treatment.

Several other players took knocks agaisnt the All Blacks and will need monitoring in the run-up to next Saturday's Rugby Park contest.

According to a statement from Scottish Rugby they include Alasdair Dickinson (lower leg), Alex Dunbar (ankle), Adam Ashe, Blair Cowan (both neck strain), Richie Gray, Ross Ford (both shoulder), Tommy Seymour, Greig Laidlaw (both hand) and Euan Murray (groin).

Scotland were beaten 24-16 at Murrayfield - the first time since 1991 they had finished within 10 points of New Zealand.

The game against Tonga represents a chance to end their autumn internatoinals with a win and avenge a 2012 defeat at Pittodrie which precipitated coach Andy Robinson's resignation.
