Back-row forwards Alasdair Strokosch and Kelly Brown have been ruled out of the rest of Scotland’s summer tour.

They were injured in Saturday’s 19-17 victory over Canada in Toronto.

Strokosch was stretchered off after hurting his shoulder and was taken to hospital, though he has since been released.

“He will require a short period of recovery for soft-tissue injuries,” said Scotland team doctor, James Robson.

Brown hurt his left shoulder and will return home to continue his recovery at his club Saracens.

London Irish back-row duo, Kieran Low and Blair Cowan, plus their new club team-mate Geoff Cross will all now stay with the squad as they travel to Argentina for Friday’s Test in Cordoba.

The final match of the summer tour will be against South Africa on Saturday, 28 June.
