Robbo hints at England return

Jason Robinson admitted he could be coaxed out of international retirement.

Jason Robinson has admitted that he could be coaxed out of international retirement after the shake-up of England's coaching set-up.

The World Cup winner ended his England career almost a year ago as he wanted to spend more time with his family, but has now admitted he could make an international comeback.

The 32-year-old Sale Sharks skipper says the changes England have made, including Rob Andrew's appointment as director of elite rugby, could help him change his mind.

"I've been asked about an international comeback a few times and you never say never," admitted Robinson.

"There is a complete new regime in place now and it is an exciting time to be involved.

"I am just looking forward to playing for Sale Sharks and if a call arrives from England, who knows?"

Robinson admits it has been hard watching England struggle since his retirement, but believes it is still not too late for them to turn things around in time to make a strong defence of their World Cup crown next year.

"It's been tough since I retired from international rugby to see the team struggle," he said.

"But I am sure that England will bounce back and will be a force in next year's World Cup in France."
