Jordan Turner-Hall looking for Harlequins to build momentum

Jordan Turner-Hall feels momentum will be crucial in Harlequins' efforts to defend their Aviva Premiership title.

Eye-opener

The Aviva Premiership has become Quins' only target this season, with a narrow 18-12 defeat to Munster in the quarter-finals of the Heineken Cup dashing their European dreams for another year. Turner-Hall said: "We are bitterly disappointed with that, but we have learnt from it and it might have been the kick that we needed. It was a bit of an eye-opener and has allowed us to focus ourselves purely on the Premiership and having a strong finish to the season. "It's always good to be playing against the best in Europe and comparing yourselves to those teams and those players. As a club we have progressed massively in the last 10 years and we are starting to get a bit of recognition for it. We have still got a long way to go, though. Hopefully we can kick on again." Turner-Hall is also looking to kick his own game on, with the 25-year-old determined to force his way back into the senior England set-up - despite there currently being stiff competition for places his favoured position. He said: "Yeah, definitely. Myself and everyone else has to finish the season well and take as much as we can from that. We have got a great bunch of lads and we want to finish strongly. It's exciting times for all of us. "There is some great competition and some quality young players knocking about. It's good to match yourself up against those guys and it's always good to have healthy competition."
