Scotland wing Max Evans aims to cause major headaches for defences with his licence to roam at the forthcoming World Cup.
Head coach Andy Robinson, who sees Evans as a Scottish version of Welsh flyer Shane Williams, has given the Castres back complete freedom in his back line during the tournament in New Zealand.
And Evans, who turns 28 on September 12, plans to use the tactic to rack up the points for Scotand by making it as difficult as possible for defences to pick him up.
"Andy has given me full rein to pop up wherever in the backline and the field," he said.
"You'll see me hopefully getting a lot of ball, taking people on, beating them and hopefully scoring a few tries."
Evans also said that the prospect of his younger brother Thom linking up with the squad later in the tournament gave him added incentive to perform well.
Proud moment
The former Glasgow Warriors winger was forced to retire from the sport aged 25 in 2010 after suffering a neck injury during Scotland's Six Nations clash with Wales.
Thom will be working as a television pundit in London but could make the trip Down Under if Scotland make it through the group stages.
"It's a proud moment," Evans continued. "I know a lot of guys would love to be in my shoes.
"Heroes are born from World Cups - it's something I have the chance to fulfil. Sadly he (Thom) won't be able to be with us. It's completely gutting.
"We've been together, even in the last four years - since the last World Cup - with the World Cup in the backs of our minds.
"I'm glad he's involved in the World Cup in some way with being in the ITV crew.
"I believe if we make the quarter-finals he'll get shipped out to New Zealand, so it's almost an added incentive if there wasn't enough already."
