Sale hooker Neil Briggs has agreed a new 12-month deal to remain at Edgeley Park.
The 25-year-old, who can also play in the back row, has become a key figure at the club since making his debut in 2005, with Briggs going on to make 104 appearances for the Sharks.
Briggs, who joined the club from Rotherham, has been capped by England at Under-21 and Saxons level.
And he is thrilled to have committed his immediate future to Sale, particularly with the number of big-name signings arriving in the summer.
Briggs said: "These are exciting times to be involved at Sale Sharks.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time playing for the club and the supporters have been great with me.
"Hopefully we can give them plenty to cheer about next season."
