Reds full-back needs surgery on left knee
Reds full-back Peter Hynes is facing at least a month on the sidelines after being told he needs surgery on his knee.
Hynes will have arthroscopic surgery after he re-aggravated a problem in his left knee against the Waratahs in round two.
Hynes, the Reds most capped player with 87 provincial caps, first suffered the injury last season - with the 28-year-old having spent pre-season battling back to full fitness.
A statement from the Reds said: "A specific time frame hasn't been placed on Hynes' return."
