The Reds have confirmed winger Digby Ioane is making good progress as he looks to return to full fitness.

The Australia international underwent shoulder surgery in July but he has been working hard alongside team-mate James Horwill on his rehab.

And although the rest of the Reds squad have been starting full contract training, Ioane is having to build his way back up to that stage.

"Reds physiotherapist Geoff Clark, performance coach Damian Marsh and speed coach Dean Benton have all worked solidly with Digby to get him back to peak fitness before Christmas," read a statement on the franchise's official site.
