Lock poised to complete short-term switch

Exeter Chiefs look set to reveal the signing of Australia lock Peter Kimlin on a short-term deal. The Chiefs have called a press conference for Tuesday to "confirm the arrival of a new international player to the Aviva Premiership club". Kimlin, who has won two caps for the Wallabies, has only recently returned to action with Eastern Suburbs after a year out with a serious shoulder injury. However he has been in talks with the Chiefs about joining the Sandy Park outfit ahead off returning to the Brumbies at the end of January for the new Super 15 campaign. Reports of the deal came out back in September, but the Chiefs look to have now received international clearance to complete the deal.
