Bath ace named in the centres

Bath fly-half Butch James will finally return to the South Africa line-up for Saturday's clash with Italy at Witbank. James had been due to start against Wales, only to be pulled from the side due to a dispute over his selection with Premier Rugby. He was then overlooked for the game with France despite making it into the 27-man squad. However he will end his two-year exile from the side when he partners Jean de Villiers in the centres. Victor Matfield will skipper the side in the absence of John Smit, with Chiliboy Ralepelle taking over the hooking duties. Bakkies Botha, Dewald Potgieter and Jannie du Plessis also come into the pack for the clash. South Africa: 15 Zane Kirchner, 14 Gio Aplon, 13 Jean de Villiers, 12 Butch James, 11 Bryan Habana, 10 Morne Steyn, 9 Ricky Januarie, 1 Gurthro Steenkamp, 2 Chiliboy Ralepelle, 3 Jannie du Plessis, 4 Bakkies Botha, 5 Victor Matfield (captain), 6 Schalk Burger, 7 Dewald Potgieter, 8 Pierre Spies.
Replacements: 16 Bandise Maku, 17 CJ van der Linde, 18 Alistair Hargreaves, '9 Ryan Kankowski, 20 Ruan Pienaar, 21 Juan de Jongh, 22 Bjorn Basson.
