Winger claims Wales have not been consistent enough

Wales winger Mark Jones believes a lack of cohesion has been his side's Achilles heel in the RBS Six Nations this year. Wales were much-fancied when the tournament began in early February, but have slumped to just one win from the first four games, with only Italy left to play at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday. And Jones believes that the side have not been consistent enough in their displays this year. "It has been disappointing this time around, in terms of both results and performances, and we haven't looked anywhere near as cohesive as we were two years ago," he told skysports.com "We haven't had the rub of the green either, which has played its part, but we're not ones to make excuses because even if things had gone our way, we'd still be saying that we haven't looked as strong a unit this year. "Everybody thought that the Scotland victory could be the kick-start that we needed, but unfortunately we faced France after that and they have been the strongest side in the competition. "They've been building up to this competition since beating New Zealand in their own backyard, so that was a major obstacle for us. It will take a monumental performance from England to stop them.
