Centre reckons Six Nations favourites will need to take it up another notch in Cardiff

Yannick Jauzion says France must produce their best performance yet in this year's RBS Six Nations if they are to remain unbeaten against Wales on Friday. Les Bleus stand as favourites for this year's title after impressive wins against Scotland and Ireland - France in particular impressing in their 33-10 victory over the 2009 Grand Slam winners last time out. But Jauzion thinks that Marc Lievremont's side will have to dig even deeper if they are to make it three wins in a row at the Millennium Stadium on Friday night. "The match against Ireland was full of solidarity and determination," said Jauzion. "But there are also quite a few things to look at again. "We didn't completely master the clash. But what was interesting is that we didn't fold despite a difficult start. "We knew how to step up our rhythm with regards to the Scotland game. We took it up a notch but we will have to do that again against Wales because it will be even more difficult. "What's important is to work with continuity. It's not enough to be good just one time." Victory for France will take them two points clear at the top of the table ahead of England, who play Ireland on Saturday. However, they come up against a Wales side buoyed by their 31-24 win over Scotland in Cardiff two weekends ago, which featured 17 unanswered points in the final four minutes.

Better match

Wales also beat France 29-12 on their last trip to Cardiff two years ago, with Jauzion warning his team-mates against complacency. "It's certain that the victory over Ireland was a step forwards. We realised that it was a difficult match and that we had to apply ourselves," he said. "It's important to win these type of matches but we shouldn't get carried away. "Everything is always back to zero. Unfortunately we have to still do a better match at Cardiff to win it. "The Welsh know very well that we want to win at their stadium. I know that they will be ready." Jauzion will again partner Mathieu Bastareaud in the centres, the latter arguably emerging as the star of the tournament so far. However, Lievremont has been forced into making changes, with injury forcing out both wing Vincent Clerc and flanker Fulgence Ouedraogo. Bayonne's Benjamin Fall had replaced Clerc, but he was also forced out of the squad on Wednesday having suffered an ankle injury. The place has now been taken by Clermont Auvergne's Julien Malzieu. Malzieu's experienced team-mate Julien Bonnaire takes over from Ouedraogo in the back row alongside captain Thierry Dusautoir and number eight Imanol Harinordoquy. Meanwhile, Stade Francais lock Pascal Pape has also suffered an ankle injury in training and has been replaced by Bourgoin's Julien Pierre. Former Sale Sharks forward Sebastien Chabal therefore comes in to take a place on the replacements' bench.
