Back-row becomes the latest South African to join Saracens

Powerful back-row Ernst Joubert has become the latest South African to join Saracens for next season. The 28-year-old will join fellow countrymen Wikus van Heerden, Neil de Kock and Schalk Brits at Vicarage Road after agreeing to switch from the Lions. Joubert, the grandson of former Springbok Piet Malan, had made 38 Super Rugby appearances for the Lions and captained the side last season. "Ernst is a high quality rugby player in every sense," said Saracens director of rugby Brendan Venter. "He is absolutely in his prime, and I am delighted with his signing."
