Forward delighted to extend his stay

Newcastle flanker Brent Wilson has become the latest player to commit to the Falcons, signing a new two-year deal. The New Zealand Sevens international joined from North Harbour three years ago. Falcons director of rugby Steve Bates said: "Brent gives us real pace in the back row, his personal skills are excellent and he is a fantastic team player. "His dynamism and try-scoring ability have been vital for us this season, he is settled in the area and I'm delighted that we have been able to extend his stay for at least another two years." Wilson, who has scored 12 tries in his 78 appearances for the Falcons, said: "I'm loving my time at Newcastle, we have a great bunch of boys here and everyone is working hard to keep us progressing as a club. "Myself and my family really enjoy living in the area, the people are incredibly friendly and from a rugby standpoint the Falcons are showing a lot of ambition with guys keen to sign up here." The forward has scored four tries in his 16 starts this season
