Scan clears Wales centre for Paris clash

Cardiff centre Jamie Roberts has been cleared to play for Wales against France in Paris after a scan showed his shoulder injury was not as bad as first feared. Roberts was sent for a precautionary scan on Monday night after suffering discomfort following Saturday's win over England. However the medical assessment came back positive - with Roberts given the green light to keep playing. "Jamie had some soreness after the game on Saturday and so we took steps to ascertain the extent of the damage to his shoulder if any," said Wales team physio Mark Davies. "Specialists have determined that the shoulder is in a stable condition and so there is no reason why he should be prevented from being in contention for the game against France."
