David Paice has been given a four-week suspension for verbally abusing match officials.

London Irish hooker ruled out until March 16

David Paice has been given a four-week suspension for verbally abusing match officials. The London Irish hooker pleaded guilty to the incident, which took place in the 14-9 Guinness Premiership defeat by Harlequins at the Madejski Stadium last Saturday. Paice abused referee Tim Wigglesworth following a scuffle with prop Mark Lambert - resulting in his sending-off - and then fourth official Dave Pearson. The England Saxons front row was handed a four-week ban for each offence at Tuesday's disciplinary hearing. They will run concurrently to March 16. Paice will therefore be available to face Northampton six days later.
