Centre pens two-year extension to contract

High-flying Sale Sharks have been handed a boost with the news that centre Chris Bell has signed a two-year contract extension. The 26-year-old follows in the footsteps of England international Richard Wigglesworth who recently signed a one-year extension that ties him to the club until 2011. Bell, who represented Harlequins and Leeds before his switch to Sale in 2006, chose to extend his deal at Edgeley Park after talks with new Sharks director of rugby, Kingsley Jones. "I am really pleased to have agreed a new deal at the club," he stated. "I had a good chat with Kingsley after it was announced he was taking over from Philippe (Saint-Andre) and am looking forward to helping the club in their quest for silverware."
