Bristol's David Lemi has been handed a two-week ban by the Rugby Football Union's disciplinary panel.

Wing sidelined until January 25

Bristol's David Lemi has been handed a two-week ban by the Rugby Football Union's disciplinary panel after pleading guilty to making a dangerous tackle on Northampton's Paul Diggin. The suspension expires on January 22, having begun from the moment the winger was cited by the RFU on January 8 for an offence committed five days earlier. The day after Lemi was cited Bristol announced they would impose a two-game club ban on the Samoan. He has already missed the Guinness Premiership game against Saracens and will also have to sit out Friday's trip to face Toulon in the European Challenge Cup. He will be available for selection once more for the home game against Montpellier in the same competition on January 25.
