Prolific try-scorer's rehabilitation on track after shoulder injury

South Africa have received a boost with the news that prolific try-scoring winger Bryan Habana will be available for their up-coming fixtures. Habana suffered a shoulder injury in the Springboks' 16-9 Tri-Nations loss to Australia in Perth on Saturday. This cast a doubt over his participation in the remaining Tri-Nations matches as well as the one-off Test with Argentina next month. But the Blue Bulls' team doctor Org Strauss has confirmed that, while the winger has some bruising on his AC joint, his rehabilitation is going well. He will be eligible to play against Argentina on August 9 at Coca-Cola Park (previously Ellis Park) in Johannesburg, for which the Springboks assemble again on July 30 in Pretoria to prepare. The Springboks will then resume their Tri-Nations campaign against the All Blacks in Cape Town on 16th August. Habana, 25, has already scored 31 tries for South Africa in his 42 Tests, second only to Joost van der Westhuizen, who has scored 38 tries in 89 Tests.
