Wales fly-half gunning for South Africa and England

Wales fly-half James Hook is targeting a double success to kick-start a rugby revolution in the principality. The next two games for the Welsh see them take on world champions South Africa at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday before kicking off the Six Nations against the beaten World Cup finalists England on February 2. And with New Zealander Warren Gatland poised to take over as coach on December 1, Hook believes beating the Boks and then England could revive the game following the shock World Cup exit to Fiji. Hook, who will win his 20th cap on Saturday, said: "It could be all the sweeter if we could turn over the world champions and then go into the Six Nations and beat the (World Cup) runners-up. "That would transform Welsh rugby overnight. "At the World Cup, we didn't get the chance to play against South Africa - so this is a great opportunity to try and change things around."

Disappointing

Despite being pooled with Australia at the World Cup, Wales had still been expected to make it through to the quarter-finals. However, defeat to Fiji saw them return home early from France - and ultimately cost Gareth Jenkins his job as coach. But Hook believes Wales should concentrate on looking to the future instead of sulking about the past. The Osprey No.10 said: "It was a hugely disappointing World Cup. But we've got to forget about that, put that behind us and start afresh. "We want to put as good a performance in as possible for the fans as well - because obviously they were disappointed after the World Cup. "It is no good looking back to the World Cup. We have to learn from our mistakes and look to go forward. "It was obviously disappointing that we didn't play South Africa in the World Cup - but if we can beat them things will turn around quite quickly. What has been done in the past has been done."
