Biarritz scrum-half Dimitri Yachvili will be out for at least two months after undergoing surgery on his left knee.

Yachvili had been dogged by pain in his knee for several weeks but was able to play until the end of the season.

He scored all the points in Biarritz's 21-18 win over Toulon in the Amlin Challenge Cup final at Twickenham Stoop.

The 31-year-old has been capped 61 times by France, most recently against Cardiff in the Six Nations last March.
