England flanker does not want to be distracted by Grand Slam talk

England flanker Tom Croft has warned his team-mates not to let talk of a Grand Slam distract them. A scrappy 22-16 victory over Scotland at Twickenham made it four from four for England in this season's RBS Six Nations. Martin Johnson's men now head to Dublin to face Ireland with their first clean sweep since 2003 now within touching distance. And although Croft was delighted to make a try-scoring return against Scotland having been sidelined with a fractured shoulder, the Tigers back-row insists his side should not get too wrapped up in the occasion. "When you see the back row playing well you wonder where you fit back in the mix," Croft said. "It was great to be back involved with a squad that is going well and hopefully we can finish the job off now.

Focused

"We are in a good place, four from four and a chance of a Grand Slam. We need to be focused and not let the whole event get on top of us." "The Irish will be very dangerous with that Triple Crown gone. They will want to spoil our party." Despite recording victory on Sunday, England's performance was well-below their previous displays in the championship this season. And Croft admits the squad have a few areas to improve on in the build up to their trip to Lansdowne Road. "We knew it would be a battle and we had to wear them down for the full 80 minutes," Croft said. "I think we know it wasn't the performance we had been hoping for. "We made quite a few mistakes and there are areas we can improve in the week going into Ireland but we take the win."
