Hooker agrees a two-year contract

Harlequins have confirmed that hooker Chris Brooker has signed a new two-year deal to stay at the Stoop. The 24-year-old was gone on to make 56 appearances for the Quins since joining them in 2007 from Bath. And Brooker is delighted to have put pen to paper on a deal to remain until June 2013. "I am really happy to have re-signed for Quins. This is a team that has so much potential, and a great team spirit," said Brooker. "There are so many young, English players that are coming through the academy and challenging for our first team places that there is no doubt that there are exciting times ahead for Quins and I want to be a part of it." Harlequins director of rugby Conor O'Shea believes Brooker can now go on to achieve international honours. "We are delighted that Chris has committed to us and at 24 he is just going to get better and better," said O'Shea. "He fits the profile of the type of player and person we want at this club and I am sure he will be ambitious to succeed both with Harlequins and also to push on and add to his Saxons honours at a higher level."
