Fly-half feels move will revive England ambitions

Ryan Lamb is confident his move to London Irish will give fresh impetus to his career and revive his England ambitions. The 23-year-old was released by home-town club Gloucester with their boss Dean Ryan critical of the player's development in recent years. Ryan insisted that Lamb lacked the quality and mentality to succeed at the very top level, but the fly-half believes his switch to the Exiles will present him with the opportunity to prove his former coach wrong. Indeed, Lamb feels the Exiles' brand of rugby will allow him to better express himself after losing his way under Ryan at Kingsholm. "I'm very excited about joining a great club like London Irish and to working with Toby Booth, Mike Catt and the players there," stated Lamb, who has signed a two-year deal. "I'm sure the way London Irish plays the game will help me to develop my style of play and provide a chance to gain international honours. "I'm also looking forward to the change of lifestyle that living in London will involve."
