Brest finally claimed their first away point of the season in the 0-0 draw with Reims.

Brest finally claimed their first away point of the season and may feel they deserved to take all three after enjoying the better of the 0-0 draw with Reims. Brest came into the match with the worst away record in Ligue 1, losing all seven of their matches and scoring just three goals in the process, but they were able to lay that ghost to rest at Stade Auguste Delaune. It could have been even better for Landry Chauvin's side, who hit the crossbar in the second half and came close on a number of other occasions. The four decent chances in the first half were shared evenly between the two teams, with Reims' efforts seeing Antoine Devaux being denied by Brest goalkeeper Alexis Thebaux early on and Diego firing a long-range shot just over the bar three minutes before half-time. In between those two incidents, Brest midfielder Mario Licka fired in a shot that Kossi Agassa needed two attempts to save, while the home keeper was also called on to keep out a right-footed shot from Benoit Lesoimier. The second half saw Brest get on top and Lesoimier was unlucky not to give his side the lead in the 53rd minute after swooping on a deep cross from Paul Baysse, his volley beating Agassa but smashing against the crossbar. Thebaux blocked a shot from Floyd Ayite at the other end before Brest were back on the attack in the 68th minute, and this time Reims needed a fantastic save from their Togo international goalkeeper to keep out Kamel Chafni's 25-yard shot. Reims, looking for their first win in six matches, ventured forward once more in the 76th minute but Thebaux was again equal to all Ayite could throw at him. The final good chance of the match fell to Brest eight minutes from time but yet again Agassa saved his side as he dived full stretch to keep out a shot from his countryman Jonathan Ayite - Floyd's older brother.
