Macc had the best of the early chances with young defender James Jennings squandering a golden opportunity when he could only misdirect a pinpoint cross from Gareth Evans after 23 minutes, before centre-back Richard Walker saw his header blocked on the goalline.
Wycombe's best chances came just before the break with Craig Woodman sending a 25-yard free-kick inches over the bar before Chris Zebroski saw a 12-yard drive blocked in the goalmouth.
Macclesfield went close to opening the deadlock when Emile Sinclair sent a dangerous flick across the goalline on for Evans to crash into a post as he tried to get a touch on the ball.
On-loan signing Tom Elliott nearly made a sensational debut for Macc, but sent his header inches wide with his first touch after 81 minutes.
