One of only two sides to have taken a point off Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga this season get another chance against the runaway league leaders this weekend.

Freiburg snatched a 1-1 draw earlier this season while only Bayer Leverkusen have also held the 45-game unbeaten Bavarians.

Freiburg are still desperate for points to lift them away from relegation danger, which is why they will head to the Allianz Arena on Saturday bidding to show the same spirit and determination as they showed last August.

"We're looking forward to it and want to do all we can to ensure Bayern don't have it easy," said Freiburg coach Christian Streich, whose side are just one point above the bottom three.

"We're not travelling to Munich saying we've lost the game anyway, we're going there to do a good job and be a decent opponent. We're looking forward to this game."

They will have the backing of Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund for that endeavour, although neither really have that much belief in being able to catch Bayern still this season.

The gap to the summit is 13 and 17 points respectively with both sides really aiming to be the best of the rest. Dortmund host Eintracht Frankfurt while Leverkusen are up against fourth-placed Schalke on Saturday evening.

Behind them, Borussia Monchengladbach and Wolfsburg are still hoping to snatch the fourth place in the Bundesliga.

Gladbach have lost all three of their games in 2014 so far and they head to a struggling Werder Bremen side who are desperate for points of their own after a 5-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund.

Wolfsburg are not in action until Sunday evening when they travel to Hertha Berlin.

Elsewhere, Hoffenheim and Stuttgart meet in a Baden-Wurttemberg derby and there is another derby further east between Augsburg and Nurnberg.

The weekend starts with Hannover's trip to Mainz on Friday night.
