Bayern Munich have not made an approach for Pep Guardiola, according to the former Barcelona boss' agent.

'Five or six big clubs' have asked after former Barca boss

Bayern Munich have not made an approach for Pep Guardiola, according to the former Barcelona boss' agent. Reports in German newspapers have suggested the Spaniard is a wanted man at the Allianz Arena ahead of the departure of Jupp Heynckes when his contract expires next summer. Bayern sporting director Christian Nerlinger had reportedly contacted Guardiola's brother after travelling to Spain to see Barcelona beat Athletic Bilbao 3-0 in May's Copa del Rey final. It was claimed Guardiola had hinted he would be prepared in principle to move to Bayern, last season's UEFA Champions League runners-up and German football's most successful club.

But the 41-year-old's representative, Jose Maria Orobitg, told Kicker his client "has not spoken to any club and is not ready to coach another club at the moment." Orobitg added: "It would be a waste of time, because Pep does not even know what he will want to do in the spring of 2013. "Five or six big clubs have asked after him but Pep will not have any of it at the moment, perhaps things will be different come February or March." The 'five or six big clubs' could include Chelsea, who were strongly linked with Guardiola before they decided to give Roberto Di Matteo a permanent contract. Guardiola stepped down at Barcelona after four years in which he delivered three Spanish league titles, two Champions Leagues, two FIFA Club World Cups, two UEFA Supercups, three Spanish Supercups and two Spanish Cups.
