Rangers are hoping Lee Wallace will be fit to face his old club, Hearts, at Ibrox on Saturday.
Wallace missed Sunday's 4-1 win over Inverness due to a dead leg sustained against Kilmarnock the week before.
However, the 24-year-old is continuing to recover and assistant manager Kenny McDowall thinks he will be available.
Optimistic
"I think Lee could make Saturday," commented McDowall.
"He had a dead leg after the Kilmarnock game and we hoped he'd be able to come north with us.
"He just ran out of time, though, and it was better to leave him behind, but we're optimistic he can return to the squad."
Run
Meanwhile, Andy Little is hoping for a run in Rangers' first-team after marking his first start since October 2010 with a goal on Sunday.
"There was a time when I was worried that I had played my last game, so I've been itching for this chance and hopefully now that I've got it I've staked a claim for a place," he told the club's
official website.
"Personally, I'm full of confidence and I know I can do a job for the team, but at the same time I don't want to get carried away with myself.
"There are boys who have been playing every week and scoring goals so I've got to train well and hopefully, with a good few games left this season, I can get a wee run because I haven't had that in a long time."
