Basque side Eibar have bolstered their squad with the additions of Dani Nieto and Borja Ekiza ahead of their first ever Primera Division campaign.
Majorca-born winger Nieto, 23, joins Gaizka Garitano's side on a two-year deal after being released by Barcelona, having made 24 league appearances for their B side in the Segunda Division after joining from AD Alcorcon last summer.
Ekiza, a 26-year-old defender who hails from Pamplona, is a free transfer acquisition from Athletic Bilbao, whom he joined in 2008 from Club Deportivo Basconia. He is expected to agree a one-year deal with last year's Segunda Division winners once he undergoes a medical.
Athletic, however, have reserved the right to re-sign Ekiza at the end of the upcoming season.
A statement on Athletic's website said: "Athletic Club have terminated the contract of Borja Ekiza by mutual consent so the player can join Eibar.
"Athletic Club reserves a repurchase option that could come into effect at the end of the 2014-15 season.
"The club thanks the player for his contributions and wishes him well in his new place of employment."
