Cardiff boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits he has a selection dilemma on his hands with six forwards ready to feature against Blackburn.

The Bluebirds boss gave game time to Nicky Maynard, Adam Le Fondre, Kenwyne Jones, Javi Guerra and Joe Mason in Saturday's 3-3 draw with Wolfsburg and also has Federico Macheda available, leaving him with plenty to ponder ahead of Friday night's live televised Championship opener at Ewood Park.

"It's a great problem to have," he told the club's official website.

"I believe all our strikers compliment each other in different ways. Kenwyne is a different type, even the two little ones Javi and Alfie (Adam Le Fondre) have played together.

"Nicky Maynard and Alfie have played together, Macheda and Javi have played together and I have some great options from the start and to come on off the bench."

"We want to create a problem for the opposition by the way that we play; it might be new to some of the Championship teams and hopefully we can give them problems."
