Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe was delighted with his side's performance at Norwich as their first visit to Carrow Road in over 54 years yielded a well-deserved 1-1 draw.
A goal just before half-time from Callum Wilson cancelled out a 14th-minute effort from Cherries old boy Lewis Grabban as the visitors bounced back from recent defeats at the hands of Blackburn and Nottingham Forest.
"I think we can be well pleased with a point, after coming into the game on the back of a couple of defeats," Howe said.
"We dominated against Forest and also had some good spells against Blackburn, only to lose both games, so it was really important we got something out of the game today.
"We rode our luck at times against a very good Norwich side but I thought we gave a good account of ourselves and eventually got what we deserved.
"I was really pleased with our goal. It came at a good time and was really well worked. I lost count of the number of passes, we kept moving it from side to side, and there was a good finish at the end of it.
"After that we had a few chances but didn't make the most of them. We didn't show enough quality in the final third, but there's a lot more left in the tank."
Norwich, who went into the match on the back of four straight wins, three of which were in the league, went ahead when Nathan Redmond put in an excellent cross from the right and Grabban rose to head home his fifth goal in five games for his new club.
Bournemouth got back on level terms from the final move of the first half as Junior Stanislas picked out the overlapping run of Simon Francis and Wilson fired home at the back post to net his fifth of the campaign.
"I was hoping for three points and we only ended up with one - but overall I think it was a fair result," Norwich boss Neil Adams said.
"To be fair, that match wouldn't have looked out of place in the Premier League. There were two teams out there who were very comfortable on the ball and passed it really well.
"I thought we dealt with them well but we just switched off once at the back and that has cost us.
"It's disappointing because we want to be winning all our games here - but we have got 10 points from our first five games and if we keep that record up throughout the season we will be right up there."
Adams was asked about the future of striker Gary Hooper, who has been linked with a number of top-flight clubs.
"There have been no offers - and if they do come in that is something we will deal with," he said. "We are in the fortunate position that we don't have to sell - and he is a player we don't want to leave."
