Sky Sports understands West Ham United are stepping up their efforts to tie down in-demand teenager Reece Oxford to a new deal.

The 15-year-old is viewed as one of the Hammers' best emerging talents and his performances have caught the eye of all the Premier League big guns including Chelsea and Arsenal.

West Ham are determined to keep hold of Oxford and have offered the centre-back a lucrative deal which would make him one of the best paid youngsters at the club to fend off interest from other sides.

The England Under-16 international has already trained with the club's first team and can expect more opportunities like that at Upton Park next season.

Despite being 15, he has already turned out for West Ham's Under-18s side, as well as their U15s and U16s and the Hammers are doing all they can to keep the talented youngster.
