York City will be without injured defender Djoumin Sangare in the FA Cup first round against Crewe, who are set to hand Steve Phillips his debut.
Sangare limped off during the second half of City's 3-1 defeat at Crawley Town after sustaining a groin problem and he could be facing a month on the sidelines.
However, David McGurk is expected to be fit after a virus to hand Martin Foyle's non-league troops a boost.
On-loan Oxford United player Chris Carruthers is eligible but forward Michael Gash is unavailable due to injury.
