Swindon v Wolves preview

Image: Nathan Thompson: An injury doubt

Team news for Tuesday's League One clash between Swindon Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers at County Ground.

Swindon will assess the fitness of Nathan Thompson before they take on Wolves. The right-back was forced off late on against MK Dons on Saturday after injuring his groin and manager Mark Cooper confirmed he is now a doubt for the clash with Kenny Jackett's high-flyers. Fellow full-back Jay McEveley needs an operation on his knee but the Robins may have to delay the procedure to allow the former Blackburn man to be available in the coming weeks. And Cooper, who admitted his side looked 'very tired' as they threw away a 1-0 lead to lose on Saturday looks likely to ring the changes with the likes of Dany N'Guessan and Ben Gladwin pushing for starts. Wolves boss Kenny Jackett will have no fresh injury concerns as his side look to make it a club-record nine successive league wins when they visit Swindon. Victory over Walsall in the weekend's Black Country derby equalled the record set by Graham Turner's promotion-winning side of 1988 and Jackett will be hoping for the three points that could stretch their lead to five points at the top of Sky Bet League One. Having spent five weeks on the sidelines with a heel injury, Leon Best came off the bench at the Banks's Stadium but his chance of a return to the starting XI may be hindered by the form of fellow striker Nouha Dicko. Dicko, a January signing from Wigan, has managed seven goals in as many starts since arriving at Molineux and looks likely to spearhead the Wolves attack in the weeks to come.
