Sheff Wed v MK Dons preview

Image: Weaver: Out with a knee injury

Team news ahead of Saturday's League One clash between Sheffield Wednesday and MK Dons at Hillsborough.

Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Nicky Weaver will miss the clash as he requires surgery to resolve a knee problem. Weaver sat out Monday night's draw at Charlton and will play no part this weekend, so Richard O'Donnell will continue in his absence. Latest signing Ryan Lowe is not available as he turned his ankle on his debut at The Valley and has joined another new forward, Chris O'Grady (foot), on the sidelines. But manager Gary Megson will welcome back defender Julian Bennett, who missed the Charlton game due to a hamstring strain. Winger Jermaine Johnson is not yet ready to return following knee surgery, which has delayed his start to the season, but striker Clinton Morrison is hoping to win back his place in the starting line-up after heading the equaliser in Monday's 1-1 draw. Mark Beevers will miss out against his parent club Sheffield Wednesday. The central defender made his MK Dons debut in the victory at Carlisle last weekend after arriving on loan but he is ineligible against the Owls. Shaun Williams makes a timely return from suspension to partner Gary MacKenzie at the heart of the defence. Forward Angelo Balanta has recovered from the muscle strain that has kept him out of the last three games. Jay O'Shea is expected to be sidelined for a number of weeks after the midfielder suffered an ankle injury during the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Brentford 10 days ago. Under-21 internationals Ian McLoughlin and Adam Smith are both available following their involvement with the Republic of Ireland and England respectively.
