Sandro has been left out of the Queens Park Rangers team to play against Manchester City on Sunday due to problems with his visa.

Loftus Road officials ran out of time to resolve the problem before the lunchtime kick-off at the Ethiad stadium.

A QPR statrement read: "In response to an article which was published by today's Sunday Mirror, the club can confirm it was informed by the Home Office on Thursday 7 May that there is an issue with Sandro's UK residency visa.

"The club are working with Sandro and the Home Office to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. While this is ongoing, the club have been advised not to select Sandro for match involvement. The club will be making no further comment at this time."

The Brazilian midfielder has played in the club's last nine games having missed three months of the season with a knee ligament injury. He moved to Loftus Road from Tottenham in a £6m deal last summer, having joined Spurs from Brazilian club Internacional in 2010

Rangers will be relegated from the Premier League if they do not win on Sunday afternoon.
