Grant's men look for perfect ten at Pompey

Chelsea travel to Portsmouth aiming to set a new club record of 10 consecutive wins in all competitions. Avram Grant's men have been in fine form since the turn of the year and they will be aiming to keep pace with the top two with another three points at Fratton Park. Frank Lampard has an outside chance of returning as he is back in training after recovering from a thigh problem. John Terry is still sidelined with a broken foot and Andrei Shevchenko is again expected to miss out through injury. Ricardo Carvalho is missing as he serves a one-match ban meaning January signing Branislav Ivanovic could make his debut. Didier Drogba, Michael Essien, John Obi Mikel and Salomon Kalou are all still away at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Portsmouth news

Portsmouth could hand a debut to Jermain Defoe after his beat the clock signing from Tottenham. Harry Redknapp is still waiting to see if Benjani's move to Manchester City goes through before finalising his side. Sylvain Distin is doubtful after he was forced off at half-time in Wednesday's defeat to Manchester United. If the Frenchman misses out Hermann Hreidarsson is likely to partner Sol Campbell at the heart of the defence. Sulley Muntari, Kanu and John Utaka are all still away on international duty, but Papa Bouba Diop could be available as Senegal have crashed out of the Africa Cup of Nations.
