Hull City have completed the signing of German target-man Nick Proschwitz from SC Paderborn for a fee of £2.6million.
The 25-year-old, who has signed a three-year deal at the KC Stadium, scored 17 goals in 33 games in the process of becoming the joint top scorer in Germany's second tier last season.
The tall striker had an offer from Bundesliga side Greuther Furth but opted for Championship side Hull in the hope of winning promotion to the Premier League.
"I'm delighted to have completed my move to the club," he told the Hull's
official website after training with his new team-mates on Thursday.
"I think I have joined a great group of lads. Everyone is friendly, everyone is nice and, most importantly, everyone likes to work and train hard which is exactly what I like to do.
"I think Hull City is the perfect club for me and the next stage of my career - I'm proud to call myself a Hull City player.
"I had a great time at my previous club but that is in the past and the only thing I'm focused on now is my future with Hull City.
"Playing in the Premier League is a big goal for me and I believe Hull City can help me achieve that goal.

"I believe the Premier League and the German Bundesliga are the biggest leagues in world football and, if I can play in the top-flight of English football, it would be a dream come true for me."
Before the completion of the deal, Hull boss Steve Bruce had identified Proschwitz as exactly the sort of player his team needed.
"He's big, 6ft 3in, but he's mobile and can finish," Bruce told the
Hull Daily Mail.
"His goals in Germany last year were all different types. He's young, at a good age and wants to come to England. He's tailor-made for England in the way he plays."
Proschwitz could make his Tigers bow in Friday's friendly at Grimsby.
