Tisdale gives former Celtic keeper the chance to impress

Exeter City have offered former Celtic goalkeeper Scott Fox the chance to earn a contract with the League One club. Fox is available on a free transfer after rejecting a new deal at Celtic in the hope of securing a move to a club who can provide regular first-team football. Grecians boss Paul Tisdale is keen to improve his options between the sticks as Paul Jones is recovering from knee surgery and current No.1 Oscar Jansson is on loan from Tottenham. Tisdale has given Fox a week to impress at St James Park and is keen to find out whether the 21-year-old can challenge for a role in his plans. "We are obviously still looking to cement our goalkeeping structure," said Tisdale in the Express & Echo. "Scott turned down a contract with Celtic because he wanted to find football elsewhere. "I don't know too much about him other than the fact that he is coming to train with us and we will see how he gets on."
